What does the test involve?
The test will be undertaken behind our medical privacy screen and there will be no need to undress for this test.
The scan is radiation free and totally painless.
An ultrasonic gel will be placed on your Radius, Phalanx, Tibia and Metatarsal bones. An Ultrasound Sonometer will then be used to scan for Osteoporosis.
The Osteoporosis scan takes into account age, gender and ethnicity and is available in minutes.
The results of your scan are colour coded and produce World Health Organisation compliant T-score and Z-score results which our company doctor will interpret and report.
The Osteoporosis test will be carried out by our fully trained registered nurse and results will form part of your comprehensive health report.
The benefits of health screening can be felt by both the employer and the employee alike. Health screening is an effective way of increasing employee morale, and leads to reduced sickness and levels of absenteeism.
